Established in 1976, the U.P. Planning and Development Research Foundation, Inc. (UP PLANADES) is a non-stock, non-profit foundation engaged in research, consultancy and extension services, academic development and training in environmental, urban and regional planning and related disciplines. One of its major objectives is to provide technical assistance to both the public and private sectors on various aspects of urban and regional planning including project development and management, and feasibility studies.

UP PLANADES has a wide pool of consultants and experts coming from academic units of University of the Philippines -- School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP), National Center for Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG), and the National Center for Transportation Studies (NCTS).

Batangas City Contract Signing

Batangas City Mayor Eduardo B. Dimacuha and Dean Candido A. Cabrido Jr., President of UP PLANADES, signed a contract for the updating of the city’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Comprehensive Development Plan (CLUP/CDP).
